The DCTV Programming Department has initiated new procedures as it relates to developing programs, encoding and submitting programs to the programming department.

Effective October 6, 2008, you will be able to download an all-new program submission from the DCTV website, and submit it in person, via email or by fax. The form will be available at the DCTV offices as well. A brand new DCTV Encoding Facility will open on October 6, and will house dedicated computer stations for the self guided producer to transfer their completed programs (from DVD or DVCam) into our digital servers.

All submitting member producers are encouraged to take the free one-hour orientation class to become aware of changes to our programming process.

  Message from the Executive Director

In July, we joined with hundreds of other community media participants to discuss the shape of community media at the ACM Conference, with the likes of Board Chair Kojo Nnamdi and journalist Amy Goodman.

As DCTV continues a center-wide strategic visioning process, we invite YOU to share your visions for DCTV and the future of community media in DC.

CLICK HERE to respond to our 2008 DCTV Community Survey! We are eager to hear your feedback and ideas regarding DCTV/The Public Access Corporation of DC, telecast on Comcast 95/96 and RCN 10/11. The ten minutes you give this survey will support us in serving your community media needs.

Thank you,
Nantz Rickard
Executive Director
Public Access Corporation of DC/DCTV
